the best part of the season

This weekend the NBA All Star game is this sunday and despite it not having a single Piston in it for the first time in 8 years it should be a good one but before Sunday the NBA has to do something to fill the time for basketball fans such as myself that need to see some sort of action before we lose our minds and to fill that time they're going to be doing things such as having the rookie/sophomore game which is a contest between the best first and second year players in the league and this year it includes Pistons rookie Jonas Jerebko who also has the honor of being the first Swedish born player in the NBA. It should be fun despite the fact that the rookies will lose by 15 or 20 but what i'm really looking forward to is the slam dunk contest. The slam dunk contest is what it says it is. It's a contest between 4 of the premier dunkers in the NBA. This year it includes defending champion Nate Robinson who at barely 5'9'' happens to be the second shortest person ever to win the contest behind the amazing Spudd Webb(he won his first won by jumping completely over the 5'7'' Spudd Webb),Los Angeles Lakers star Shannon Brown who is known for his high flying ability and he rode a wave of fan populism right into the contest thanks to his fanpage LetShannonDunk.com. the third contestant is former slam dunk contest contestant and current Charlotte Bobcats star Gerald Wallace who has been having the best season of his career and the 4th contestant will be decided during halftime of the rookie/sophomore game on friday night with the winner advancing to the slam dunk contest which will be held saturday night. the two players who are in the running for the final spot are Toronto guard Raptors Demar DeRozen and L.A. Clippers guard Eric Gordon. below are some highlights of each of the contestants and the two men fighting for the final spot. who do you think will win it this year? let me know in the comments section

first up in this parade of highlights is 5'9'' high flyer Nate Robinson

next up is the heart and soul of the Charlotte Bobcats Gerald Wallace

next up is a lesson in flight from Shannon Brown

and now here are a few highlights of DeMar Derozan and Eric Gordon
Demar Derozan

and finally the aerial artist from the Clippers Eric Gordon

I know who I think is gonna be the last man in and I know who's gonna win the whole contest but who do you think is gonna win it?
